Unwoofled Terms of Use

Unwoofled is operated by The Pocket App Company LLC, an Illinois limited liability company, 2501 Chatham Rd Ste N, Springfield, IL 62704-4188 ("we", "us"). These terms are the rules for using the Unwoofled app and the Unwoofled website. They are written in plain English on purpose. By creating an account or using Unwoofled, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Unwoofled.

1. What Unwoofled is

Unwoofled is a training education and tracking tool for owners of dogs that react to things on walks or struggle when left alone. It gives you step-by-step exercises, helps you log what happened, and shows you your own measured progress.

Unwoofled only suggests reward-based training. It does not teach or suggest scare tactics, pain or force.

2. Not veterinary or medical advice

Unwoofled is training education and tracking. It is not veterinary advice, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace a veterinarian or a qualified behavior professional.

Unwoofled's plans follow published research on reward-based training. They are not reviewed for your individual dog by a trainer, behaviorist or vet. If your dog has bitten, or you are worried about safety, see a professional.

If your dog's behavior changes suddenly, or you think your dog may be in pain or ill, see your veterinarian first.
If your dog has bitten anyone, hurts itself when alone, or you have a young child at home and your dog reacts to people, please work with a professional. Unwoofled will ask about these things and may pause your plan until you confirm that a professional is involved.
Decisions about medication belong to your veterinarian. Unwoofled does not recommend any medication.
The AI coach in the app explains your plan in plain words. It cannot make a diagnosis, and it cannot change how hard your plan is.

3. You are responsible for safety

You know your dog and your surroundings, and you stay in charge. You are responsible for the safety of your dog, other people, other animals and property. That includes using a secure harness and lead, keeping enough distance from triggers, stopping a session if your dog or anyone nearby is at risk, and following local laws, such as leash rules.

The distances and times in your plan are starting points. If something feels unsafe, stop and get professional help.

4. No promised results

Every dog is different. We can't promise any particular result, any speed of progress, or any finish date. Unwoofled shows you your own measured progress and nothing more.

5. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to enter a contract where you live, to create an account.
Give us accurate information and keep your sign-in details safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
One account is for one person. To train a dog together, invite the other person with household sharing; each person uses their own account. The dog's owner can remove members at any time.

6. Subscriptions and billing

In the app, you pay through Apple or Google. Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) takes your payment, handles your receipt, and handles refunds under their own rules. Unwoofled never sees your card details.
Free and paid: logging sessions is free. Good Walks Club unlocks the full plans, the Listener and the coach.
Plans: Pro monthly (no free trial), Pro annual (with a 7-day free trial), and, while it is offered, a founder lifetime purchase: one payment, no renewal, limited to 500 buyers. In the United States these cost $9.99 a month, $59.99 a year and $149.99 once; the purchase screen shows the price in your currency before you pay.
Free trial: if you start the annual plan's free trial, you are charged for the first year when the 7 days end, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing.
Renewal: monthly and annual plans renew automatically at the same price for the same period until you cancel. Your Apple or Google account is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends. The founder lifetime purchase never renews.
Renewal reminder: we email you 7 days before an annual plan renews.
Cancel any time. In the app, go to Settings and tap "Manage or cancel subscription", which opens the Apple or Google subscription page. You can also cancel in your Apple account settings or in Google Play > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the period you already paid for ends. Deleting the app or your Unwoofled account does not cancel a subscription.
Restore: if you change phones, tap "Restore purchases" on the purchase screen or in Settings.
We do not sell weekly plans.
Prices can change. A price change will be shown to you and, where the store requires it, you will need to accept it before it applies to you.

7. Acceptable use

Please do not:

use Unwoofled to train a dog with pain, fear or force, or ask the coach for those methods;
break the law, or harm, harass or threaten anyone;
try to break into, overload or reverse-engineer Unwoofled, or get around the limits on features, billing or sign-in;
put a camera or microphone where you do not have the right to use one, or point the Listener or live view at people who have not agreed;
upload clips or notes that are unlawful, or that show or name other people without their permission;
share your account or resell Unwoofled.

8. Your content

The notes, session logs and optional clips you add stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run Unwoofled for you, as the privacy policy explains. We never use a clip in public or in marketing without your separate, clear permission for that clip.

9. Limitation of liability

Unwoofled is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows:

we are not liable for injury to people or animals, property damage, or any loss that comes from how a dog behaves, or from following (or not following) a plan, tip or coach answer;
we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost time or lost earnings;
our total liability to you for anything connected to Unwoofled is limited to the amount you paid us for Unwoofled in the 12 months before the problem happened.

Some places do not allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have by law that cannot be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence where the law does not allow us to exclude it.

10. Ending your use

You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the privacy policy.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts a dog or a person at risk, or abuses the service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
If we close Unwoofled, we will give notice and a chance to export your data.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For important changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they apply. If you keep using Unwoofled after the change takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop using Unwoofled and delete your account.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you and we consent to those courts. Nothing here removes any mandatory consumer-protection right you have where you live.
